How Do You Re Cook Crack In A Spoonful Of Kisses

I have tried different versions of this cookie with some success. These by far are the best! Made a double batch and made half with the kisses and the other half as a traditional peanut butter with the crosshatch on top. Both were absolutely yummy. Still some celebrating to do so I made more today! Love all your recipes!

I typically enjoy your recipes. As with other review, these were very disappointing. The taste was fine, and I think a bit of cracking when pressing the chocolate is fine, they absolutely fell apart when you eat them! Crumbled mess all over! The texture is severely lacking. I followed to the letter and was careful not to over bake them. I have made these same cookies a few years ago using a different recipe with no issues.

Love this recipe, but since we always had a problem with the cookie cracking when the kiss was pushed in, we switched it up a bit and used Sallys ganache recipe and flooded it in the center of the cookie. So so worth it and equally if not more delicious!

To make that glittery exterior, roll each cookie dough ball in granulated sugar. It adds extra depth when the cookies form those characteristic crinkles in the oven. Remember to place the milk chocolate kisses on the cookies as soon as they come out of the oven so they stick!

To stack PeanutButter Blossoms without damaging the chocolate kisses, put a layer ofcookies in the bottom of your container. The second layer of cookies should siton top of the edges of the cookie beneath it, not touching the chocolate kiss.Continue stacking in this manner.

Dear Kelly, I love how you 'up-dated' the original recipe to use butter instead of the shortening and milk and a 'simple' peanut butter here - that, I can do, however, it will be a little bit more difficult to track down those cute Hershey's kisses around here but having read your fabulous recipe and all your tips, I believe, if I placed a piece of dark chocolate on top of the still warm cookie, it might also be nice, although, of course, not quite as pretty as your cookie, but probably still delicious. As my kids love, love peanut butter cookies and the combination of slightly salty and sweet, I just know that they will adore these, Hershey's kisses or not...;)I shall take this opportunity to wish you and all your family a very Happy & Healthy New Year!Andrea

See how to make the best meringue cookies without cream of tartar! This easy meringue recipe makes cookies that are crispy around the edges, yet soft and light in the middle. The instructions include plenty of helpful tips to bake perfect meringue kisses every time.

Kimberly - I made these for my family Christmas party, I added Cherry Cordial kisses to half of the cookies instead of plain kisses. What an amazing cookie and the Cherry Cordial kisses definitely ramp up the yummy chocolate cherry combo!!!

Things I noted: the dough is quite tender and cools fast out of the oven. Have the kisses already unwrapped so you can put them into place quickly. I cracked a couple of cookies near the end of my first batch. And while the dough gets firm fast, the kisses will take some time to firm back up so they really need to cool for a bit.

Place the balls of cookie dough rolled in sugar on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat. Space them about 2 inches apart. They will spread a bit. Bake them for 9 to 11 minutes until they crack slightly on the top and the tops will be ever so slightly brown.

After we mix the crackers with the flour, brown sugar and melted butter, I love to use the bottom of a measuring cup to firmly pack down the crust. Then ship it off to the oven to bake until your kitchen smells like cookie heaven.

My kisses won't stick to the cookies - Make sure all kisses are unwrapped while the cookies are baking. As soon as the cookies come out of the oven make sure to place the kisses on top.

The cookies are absolutely delicious! I made my own errors by not using enough dough for each cookie, therefore, winding up with 72 instead of 30. Also, did not heed your advice about quickly putting them in my refrigerator. Many kisses melted! Will definitely make these again next year.

These are great cookies! I bought the kisses and stored them in the freezer until they needed to be pressed into the cookies and then put the pan in the freezer. I had no issues with melting. My only concern was that at 12 mins they seemed way, way too soft. Did anyone else have this issues? I left them in for 14 mins, but I am wondering if I slightly over baked them.

I have my first cookie exchange coming up on Dec 2 so I tried them last week, they came out good but the dough was really crumbling and was hard to shape, it kept falling apart. My kisses melted and I put them directly into the freezer. Then I tried two more times and could not get it either. Help please my family loved the 1st batch. I need to know what to do about the batter falling apart and not sticking. Do I need more butter?

These are delicious, and so cute! I had trouble with my kisses melting too, and I put them immediately in the freezer after placing them. On the second pan of cookies, I let them cool for 5-7 minutes before placing the kisses, and then I popped them right into the freezer. So far, they are maintaining their shape very well. Thanks for the recipe!

Made these today! Great recipe! Only thing I did differently is to unwrap the kisses that I was pressing into the cookie and put them in the freezer until I was ready to press them into the warm cookie. Helped them really hold their perfect shape.

Some people are surprised to learn that meringue is naturally dairy-free, gluten-free, and nut-free. In fact, the base recipe is made solely with egg whites and sugar. These meringue kisses are classic little meringue cookies that are made with just two extra ingredients: cream of tartar to stabilize and vanilla for flavor.

Remove the cookies from the oven and immediately press Hershey Kisses into the center of the cookies. As you press the chocolate candy into the cookie you will get the cracks around the edges giving them that classic peanut butter blossoms look.

I just made these. Had trouble finding the peppermint mocha creamer and the peppermint kisses. Went to 3 markets. I bought sweet cream creamer and cookies and cream kisses. I think they would be better w the mint but I had no choice :(

I love throwing together a batch of these to create an assorted cookie plate for events or parties (especially around the holidays!). People often expect the regulars on cookie plates, like chocolate chip, sugar cookies, or even oatmeal raison. But meringue cookies add a whole different architecture and simply sweet with a touch of vanilla flavor. They're easy to make, but do take some time because the trick to their cute shape is letting them cool for an hour or two in the oven so that they don't crack and crumble.

Meringue cookies are very sensitive to the air -- both its humidity and temperature -- so make sure you leave them in the turned-off oven after baking for at least an hour. They'll crack if they cool too quickly, so better safe than sorry... The longer time left in the oven, the better!

Yes! To freeze peanut butter blossoms make sure they are completely cooled and the kisses are hard. Place the cookies in a single layer in an airtight container. If you need to make two layers, place a piece of parchment paper or wax paper on top of the bottom layer. Add another layer of cookies. Seal and freeze the cookies for up to two months.

One of the most important things which ensure proper shape and texture of the Italian cookies is to use well-chilled butter. Then, once the cookies are shaped the dough must be chilled once again to prevent melting or spreading in the oven, as well as cracking. The rest of the process is smooth sailing! 2ff7e9595c
